Happy Dick Hyman Day!

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio has proclaimed today, July 18 to be “Dick Hyman Day” as part of the kick off of the 92nd Street Y’s 33rd annual Jazz in July Festival which opens this year with a “Dick Hyman Forever!” concert celebrating the legendary pianist Dick Hyman, who served as 92Y’s artistic director of jazz for 20 years and was a co-creator of the festival.
