“Viola and…” was created to demonstrate a technique called the Pressure Recording Process that was being patented in 1977 by recording engineer Ed Long, when the album was created and released. This album features James Carter on Viola, Deborah Carter on Flute, Philip Fath on clarinet, Sharon Mann Polk on piano, and William Smith on harpsichord. “Viola and…” has been out of print for decades, and only a small number were unearthed at RR, so collectors will want to get it while they can.
