Wind & Rhythm will feature new Dallas Wind Symphony Christmas release Horns for the Holidays this weekend! Check out the preview:
Episode 214: Santa’s Sousaphone
It was July in Dallas when the Dallas Wind Symphony gathered to do a recording session. It was over a hundred degrees outside and inside the awesome Meyerson Symphony Hall everyone wore shorts and t shirts. The staff had put up Christmas decorations but at first it was hard to make the transition… Sleigh Ride? Not so much… But once Artistic Director Jerry Junkin got them started, you could actually imagine the Currier and Ives print of horse drawn sleighs racing through the snow. At least you could if you had a great imagination!
