Pittsburgh Symphony in the Gramophone Listening Room

Posted by Reference Recordings on
 October 3, 2018

Gramophone Magazine’s James Jolly gives praise to the and singles out the Strauss Horn Concerto and William Caballero in this week’s “Listening Room” playlist:

“A terrific new Eroica from Pittsburgh is coupled with a very fine performance of Richard Strauss’s First Horn Concerto played by the orchestra’s Principal Horn, William Caballero (and do give the Beethoven a listen too) – it’s a work that really doesn’t get played in concert that often and well worth hunting down.”
